Laurent Jaquet ist ein Schweizer Filmregisseur und Fotograf. Er ist Inhaber der Produktionsfirma monooki pictures, die Dokumentarfilme, Image-Filme und Musikvideos im In-und Ausland produziert.
Laurent Jaquet studierte Philosophie und Theaterwissenschaft an der Universität Bern und absolvierte die London Film School LFS.
Seit vielen Jahren bereist er Japan, was sein Filmschaffen massgeblich geprägt hat – etwa den Kinofilm «Cherry Blossom Years». Er wirkte als Schauspieler gemeinsam mit der japanischen Pop-Sängerin Marina Watanabe im Film „photograph“ und spielte in der erfolgreichen japanischen Fernsehserie „Osama no Restaurant“ den Garde-Manger Gérard Duvivier.
Mit seinem Dokumentarfilm «Venzagos Bruckner» gewann Laurent Jaquet 2015 den Publikumspreis für den besten Langfilm der Filmförderung des Kantons Bern.

Laurent Jaquet is a Swiss film-maker and photographer. He is the owner of the production company monooki pictures, which produces documentaries, image films and music videos in Switzerland and abroad.
Laurent Jaquet studied philosophy and drama at Berne university and graduated from the London Film School LFS. He has worked as a professional film-maker since.
For many years he has travelled to and around Japan which has significantly marked his cinematographic work – for instance the film «Cherry Blossom Years».
He starred alongside the Japanese pop-singer Marina Watanabe in the film „photograph“ and acted the Garde-Manger Gérard Duvivier in the successful Japanese television series „Osama no Restaurant“.
With his documentary „Venzagos Bruckner“ Laurent Jaquet won the audience award for „Best Full-Length Film“ in 2015.
